The Caturron variety is a relatively new variety from Acevedo, Colombia, virtually unknown outside that region, but it is rapidly becoming recognised for its distinctive flavour, large cherry and resistance to leaf rust, which enables it to cope better with climate change and its effect on flowering and harvest.
